What "integrative" means at this clinic
Integrative is used loosely across the wellness industry, so it is worth being specific about how it is meant here: services offered in addition to conventional medical care, with the aim of supporting the person receiving that care. It does not mean an alternative to medicine, and it does not mean choosing between the two.
Who tends to book
Usually one of two people. Someone already under medical care who wants additional support alongside it, or someone whose day-to-day experience has not been explained by the assessments they have had so far and who wants a different conversation about the same history.
How the first appointment works
It is a consultation, not a treatment session. It covers your history, your current care, what you have already tried and what you want to be different. Anything proposed afterwards is explained first — what it involves and what it is for — and any assessments are discussed with you before they are arranged.
What stays the same
Your relationship with your physician. These services are supportive and complementary; they do not replace medical diagnosis or treatment, and they are not a reason to change a prescription. If a medical assessment should come first in your case, we will say so rather than proceed.
