Proxima Health Baseline

The Proxima Baseline Panel: Environmental Toxin Testing
Now offering: Blood-Based Environmental Toxin Testing. We've added the Proxima Health Baseline Panel to what we offer in the practice. It's a single blood draw that measures heavy metals, forever chemicals, pesticides, microplastics and covid spike protein, exposures that most routine bloodwork doesn't look for. These build up gradually and often without obvious symptoms. Testing gives us a clearer view of what may be affecting your health, and practical steps to lower your exposure. No special prep, results in about a week, reviewed together. Ask about it at your next visit.
Ready to know what's in your body?
Proxima Health's baseline panel is a single blood draw that measures levels of key environmental toxins in the body, including heavy metals, forever chemicals, pesticides, microplastics and more. By identifying your current toxin burden, this test gives you and your physician a clearer picture of what may be affecting your health and practical steps for how to lower your exposure.
Why it matters
Environmental toxins accumulate gradually in the body, often without clear symptoms at first. Over time, that burden can place stress on the body and disrupt key systems including hormones, immunity, metabolism and overall long-term health.
Standard labs were not built to measure environmental toxin burden and most routine bloodwork misses these exposures entirely. This panel helps fill that gap with a more precise view of what may be affecting health.
Testing creates the opportunity to act. Once key toxins in your system are identified, many patients can take meaningful steps to reduce them through targeted changes to diet, water, household products and daily routines, putting them on the path to better health.

How the Proxima panel is different
Standard labs weren't built to measure toxin burden. This one was. One draw covers what would otherwise take several separate specialty tests.

How it works
Blood draw
A single tube of blood is drawn at your visit. No special prep required.
Lab analysis
Your sample is analyzed by a CLIA certified lab for environmental toxins and pathogens.
Your results
Within one week, your physician will receive your results in a personalized report to review with you and recommend next steps.
What we test for
18 environmental analytes screened in one blood draw.
Microplastics
Microplastic quantity · Microplastic type
Tiny plastic fragments from packaging, bottles, synthetic fabrics and food. Now found in blood and most major organs.
Pesticides
Glyphosate · p,p'-DDE (DDT derivative)
Agricultural chemicals we're exposed to through food, water, and outdoor activities.
Forever Chemicals
PFOS · PFOA · PFHxS
Long lasting chemicals found in non-stick cookware, water-resistant clothing and food packaging.
Endocrine Disruptors
BPA · MEHP · Methylparaben
Chemicals found in plastics, food can linings, personal care products and cosmetics.
Heavy Metals
Lead · Mercury
Naturally-occurring elements that accumulate in the body through exposure with old paint, contaminated water, foods and soil.
Mold
Ochratoxin A
A type of toxin from fungus found in buildings and in certain foods like grains, coffee and dried fruit.
Industrial Pollutants
PBDE-47 · PCB-156
Flame retardants (PBDEs) used in furniture, electronics, and textiles, and legacy industrial chemicals (PCBs) formerly used in electrical equipment. Though banned, PCBs persist in the environment and food chain.
Industrial Solvents
Benzene
Chemicals found in fuel, vehicle exhaust, paints and adhesives. Exposure often occurs through air, particularly in urban environments or occupational settings.
Persistent Pathogens
Lyme Disease · COVID Spike Protein
Markers of infections that can remain active or leave biological traces long after initial illness, contributing to ongoing symptoms.
