Immune, autoimmune and inflammatory concerns
This category covers a wide range of situations, from frequent infections and slow recovery through to diagnosed autoimmune conditions being managed long-term. What people describe most often is unpredictability — periods where things are settled, followed by periods where they are not, without an obvious reason for the change.
Autoimmune conditions in particular are usually managed rather than resolved, and most people arriving here are already under specialist care.
What a consultation covers
The conversation looks at your history, your current care, what tends to precede a flare in your experience, and what has helped before. Where assessments are discussed, you will be told what each is for and what it can and cannot show, before anything is arranged.
Support is individualised. Nothing on this page describes a protocol, because what is appropriate depends entirely on your circumstances and on the treatment you are already receiving.
Alongside your specialist, not instead of them
If you are under the care of a rheumatologist, an immunologist or another specialist, that continues unchanged. Our services are complementary and supportive; they do not replace medical diagnosis or treatment, and immune-modulating medication in particular is something only your prescribing physician should be adjusting.
We would rather have that conversation clearly at the start than leave it implied.
